Kaffir lime leaves are plants in the citrus genus, native to Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand in Southeast Asia. Kaffir lime leaves and peel are commonly used in various cuisines, not only in Thailand and Laos but also popular in Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Kaffir lime leaves are rich in vitamins, including A, B1, B3, B6, B12, C, and D. Thai people use kaffir lime leaves in dishes like fried rice, curry, canned fish salad, papaya salad, and minced meat salad. Adding kaffir lime leaves enhances the aroma and flavor of the dishes.
